Pushing through a plateau

Thought I'd share some tips to get through those terrible plateaus. My trainer gave me this good advice:
- keep a food diary
- track calories
- change up your exercise routine
- use measuring tools to check your portion sizes
- stay positive and if you're feeling stressed, take a yoga class or make time to meditate

Great tips. Something else that has worked for me is to avoid the scale at the first sign of a plateau. Sometimes not knowing you're in the midst of one can really help you get past it.
