Reality TV show talk

I started my weight loss program a few months ago. I've lost 12 pounds so far (doing it slow and steady). Before I started this journey I always used to reward myself with food. Now that I can't do that I have started rewarding myself by watching my favorite reality tv shows. I know that this isn't great either but I can't afford to buy myself something new and sometimes it's just nice to have a little escape now and then. My favorite show is the Real Housewives of (whatever). I am totally obsessed. Any other Housewives fans that want to dish?

I love those shows too. My favorites are the New York and New Jersey housewives but I watch all of them Congratulations on your weight loss! I have only lost 4 so far but it's a start, right? I feel like I should stop watching so much tv though. They say that the more tv you watch, the more likely you are to put on weight because you're not being conscious of how much you're eating in front of the tv. Do you have that problem? Now that I'm paying attention I do find that I tend to eat more when I watch tv (those late night commercials get me every time!).

It's the same for me. I find myself eating when I'm not even hungry. I'm trying to limit my tv time and I only keep healthy snacks in the house so I'm not too tempted to binge.

I try to time it so I can watch my favorite shows when I'm at the gym. That way I get my reality fix (LOVE Survivor) and I don't have to worry about mindless eating. It also makes my workouts seem shorter because I'm distracted by all the d-r-a-m-a
